Anansa

Charles DuVernay's life partner Jennie Wimbish reimagines botanical drawings as feathered creatures.  Working with the bugle bead, the most difficult to sew (long, slippery and sharp on both ends!) she "draws" a beaded plume. The work draws inspiration from the Nigerian goddess of the water, Anansa.
